Ready for a “one of a kind” story? All that one of their seven big sisters wanted for her birthday was for her baby brothers to be born on her birthday. That’s exactly what one of them did. That’s right, one of them. The other decided to wait a bit longer and was technically born the next day. As an extra surprise, they were identical twins, which is about 1 in 3 odds in their case. As I understood, they are Dichorionic diamniotic (DCDA) twins. Meaning each baby had their own placenta and their own inner membrane (amnion) and outer membrane (chorion). This is the case for all non-identical twins and one third of identical twins. I sure hope to see and snuggle these two again soon!
